Eor'*"iiiJstatice, the 1 Sinemoa has steamed during three months 5028 miles, and in that time consumed 331 tons coal, and if she continues -to go at the same rate to the end of the year she will burn 1324 tons coal, and Bteam-2i0,104 miles. Now, during a twelvemonth the Luna went 18,000 miles, and to do that she hid to consume 1800 tons coal, which quantity would bring the Hinemoa 28,000 miles. "lt will at once be apparent from the foregoing figures, what a great, saving hv coal there is by. the .new steamer. Including -ail- expenses it will take nearly £2000 less to work the Hinemoa in a twelvemonth than it did the Luna.
