Edsisten's Office, Motueka. The importance of establishing efficient steam communication between the producing districts of Blind Bay and the markets of the colony has been long felt The objects of this Compsny are to purchase a suitable steamer t) trade between Motueka. Moutere, Siwakn, Waitapu, Collingword. Nelson, and other places in the Bay. The trade with thrsj ports is large, and increasing daily, and tbe present means of communication are inadequate for the requirements of the inhabitants of these numerous districts. The timber trade alone has lately acs imed an important position, and will continue to do so.' The promoters feel certain that a hrgc and steady trale with boh passengers and carg j would be at once received by any Company that would put a suitable bast on the Bay, and that auch a boat wouid pay large dividends to the owners, and prove an extremely profitable undertaking. Ihe public will also derive great benefit by being able to go to Nelson and back the same day. The p-omotcra therefore call upon the settlers ia these districts to take shares in the proposed Company, in order to participate in the above and other advantages th.fc are certain to accrue from the purchase of ' a s'eamer, to be devoted to their interests. They therefore \ hope that every settler will take a few shares, and early application is necessary, in order to prevent the control of tbe Company's aSaira falling into tbe hands of a few. Applications for Shares are to be sent either to the Secretary, at Motueka, or the Union Sank of AuttralU, Nelson, where the necessary forms can be obtained. The Share List will close on the Fifteenth of October next Motuekgj Ang«BU9, UU. &S6
