She left Nelson on'Tttesday, the 12th, trith a fall cargo and about 40 passengers for Karamea ; wind N.W., and 6ne weather. Pasted Cape Farewell at midnight, arriving off Karamea at 8 o'clock the following morning; crossed the bar at noon, landed passengers and cargo, and sailed for Westport at 1 p m. next day; passed the p.s. Wallace bound for Nelson, and arrived there at 5 p.m. Landed cargo, and Bailed lor Hokitika at 3 a.m. on the 15th, arriving there at 2 p.m.; discharged cargo, and sailed for Greymouth at 3 p.m. on the 17th, arriving there at 5.30 same day. Landed cargo, and sailed for Westport at 7.30 a m. on the 19th, arriving there at 4 p.m. same day; discharged sixteen tons cargo, and sailed for Nelson at 7.30 p.m , arriving as above. Passed the s.s. Murray, bound for Weetpart. The Eastern Monarch, emigrant ship, bound for New Zealand, with nearly 600 Goverment emigrants, had a narrow escape fiom Bhipwreck on the Low Sunday Isles, near the Equator, which are now omitted from the maps.
