By this lime the ruck had tailed off considerably, and tho Arrow comfig away from them made an effort to join the leaders. From this point there, were only the four in th« race. Don Jaun was never caught, and won pretty easily, the Arrow finishing fourth. It was a very Jast-run race, considering the heavy state of the course Time 3 minutes 36 seconds. Don Juan is a South Australian, -bred hy Lucifer, out of levity, and ran only once before in Victoria.
