A vacancy having v_J. occurred in the Parliament of New Zealand through the resignation of Mrßichardson as your representative, I beg to inform you thac upon the request of many electors,. I am a candidate to represent you in that House. I will here only state that my opinion with regard to the Public Works Act of 1870 and 1871 have undergone no change since I addressed you last, and should I have the -honour of being elected, would support the present Ministry in carrying out these important works.
