My chief reason for wishing to sit in the Council next session arises from my desire to be in a position to support the measures for Inland Communication which I have from the first so earnestly advocated, and which I believe to be essential to the development of the mineral wealth of the Province,, the trade of our city and port, and our mutual prosperity. I will shortly address you in the different localities of the district on the important questions with which the Government of the colony is occupied, and which are of paramout interest to the colony at large.
