CRICKET.
STOKE V. WAIMEA EAST. Two matches were played at Richmond yesterday, one between the Clubs of Stoke aud Waimea East,'and the other between the boys of the same districts. A capital lunch was provided by Mr. Tovey, of the Star aud Garter, and altogether, the day, which .was generally. observed^ as a holiday, was thoroughly enjoyed by those who took part in .the games, as well as by the numerous spectators. In both matches Stoke proved victorious, winning the game between the Clubs in one in*nings.with 30 runs to spare, and that be-, tweeu the boys by 11 runs.
