Eegistered Letters. — Any prepaid letter, newspaper, book or other packet for any place in New Zealand, United Kingdom, British Colonies, aud many foreign countries, may be registered at any l J ostom"ce, during office hours, on payment in stamps affixed to the letters, &c, of the required fee; and on presentation at the Postoffice window at least one hour prior to the time for closing the mail by which it is to be forwarded.
