Conference On Indians
PRETORIA, Sun. (11 a.m.)—The Governments of India, Pakistan and South Africa will hold preliminary talks in Capetown on February 6 to discuss summoning a round-table conference on the Indian question in South Africa. Announcing this today, the External Affairs Department said the discussions would include an agenda for a full conference.
In 1946 India, ,'liich then included Pakistan, imposed trade sanctions on South Africa as a protest against the Smuts’ Government’s enactment of the Asiatic Land Tenure and Indian Representation Act.
