Fell Off Aquaplane
A man who fell ofi a board while aquaplaning was drowned in the Tauranga Harbour. He was. Mr Harold Joseph Cvncliie, aged 30, single, a plunber, of 37 Jessie Street, Wellington, whose parents live in Napier. Mr Conchie’s body had not been recovered late yes- 1 terday. Mr Conchie was being towed bv the I Tauranga launch Nevada when he appeared to get into difficulties off the Mount Beach and fell off the board j The Nevada put about immediately, i and, although it passed over the spot | "■hen Mr Conchie disappeared, he was; not. found Mr Conchie was a returned service- i man, who served during the war in the Divisional Cavalry of the 2nd j NZEF.
