Australians For Tenn Is Championships
WELLINGTON, Wed (PA.) The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association has received advice that the Lawn Tennis Association of Australia has granted permission for G. Worthington (NSW) and K. McGregor (Vic.) to participate in the New Zealand championships at Christchurch in January. This visit has been made possible through negotiations conducted with members of the Australian association by Mr A. H. Richards, chairman of the management committee of the New
Zealand association, and manager of the ladies' team which has just concluded a tour of New South Wales.
As the Australian championships begin on January 21 it will be necessary for these players to return immediately after xhe conclusion of the New Zealand championships. The death has occurred at Brisbane of Mr Frank Cooper, LieutenantGovernor of Queensland, aged 77. He was Queensland Premier from 1942 (n 10-tfi.
