Black In Hospital
N. H. Black, Auckland five-eighths, entered hospital today to undergo an operation for the removal of his tonsils. ,
During the tour of South Africa, Black began to suffer considerably from pains in the back. ! It was thought the cause was a jar during physical training on the voyage to Capetown, but since his return the trouble has been diagnosed as tonsils.
Wing-threequarters E. G. Boggs has also been taking medical advice since his return. In the match against Northern Universities at Pretoria, Boggs was seized from behind by the collar and flung violently down. He landed on both elbows with such force that some sort of dislocation of the shoulders resulted. South African medical opinion was that Boggs would' have to go to hospital, probably to undergo one or iftore difficult operations. r . -The diagnosis since his return is more hopeful, • . There is apparently a good chance that , the trouble will right itself, and no operation is intended in the meantime. ■/. , • • „
