PONT D'OR’s dam, Corncihe D’Or, is by KSAR, one of lhe greatest of all French sires, who was succeeded by his son, TOURBILLON. also champion sire of Fiance, and who is the sire of the present-day leading sire of France in DJEBEL. The latter’s son has just won the Eclipse Stakes in England in Ihe fastest time for 15 years. PONT DOR carries the most successful classic lines of blood in England and France, he is a high-class performer, and is an individual of grand size, splendid conformation and has the groat quality and blood-like appearance ot the best champions of the present day in France and England. Now that PONT D'OR has become acclimatised a number of selected I mares will be accepted for service this season at a fee of 125 gns.
