ORDER Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Whangarei Borough Council held for that purpose on the 20th day of July, 1949. the following resolution was passed and it will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held on Wednesday the 24th day of August, 1949, at 7.25 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Bank Street, Whangarei. RESOLUTION: That'the Whangarei Borough Council acting in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and all other powers and authorities it in any way enabling doth hereby make a By-law to be known as Whangarei Borough By-law No. 30—1949. The object and purport of the Bylaw is to amend and extend Whangarei Borough By-laws No. 1—1923, No. 14—1940, and No. 19—1944 (Building By-laws) by deleting thevefrom or adding thereto such amendments as have been made to the New Zealand Standard Code of Building By-laws by ihe New Zealand Standards Institute, and to adopt as part of its Building By-laws Part X of the New Zealand Code of Building By-laws which relates to Masonry Buildings of Bearing Wall Construction and Part XI of the said code of Building By-laws which relates to steelwork. A complete copy of the proposed By-law is deposited at the office of the Council, Municipal Building, Bank Street, and will be open to the inspection of the public during office hours from the Bth August, 1949, until the 17th August, 1949.
