Bandits Take Jewels Worth Up To £186,000
AGA KHAN ROBBED . .
PARIS. Wed. (11 a.m.). —Four men armed with Tommy-guns ambushed the car of the Aga Khan and his wife near Nice today and robbed them of jewellery worth between £136,000 and £182,000. The bandits stopped the car by spraying the back tyres with Tommy-gun bullets.
They ordered the occupants—the Aga Khan, the Begum and the chauffeur—to keep quiet, seized the Begum's personal case containing her jewels and items of silver, and took the Aga Khan’s briefcase.
