Church Council Not Biased
The Referendum
WELLINGTON, Sat. (F.A.)— The New Zealand Inter-Church Council on Public Affairs issued the following statement today: “It has come to the knowledge of the New Zealand Inter-Church Council on Public Affajrs that it is being charged with having a bias toward one side of the compulsory military training issue.
“The council desires to state that, far from having any bias, it recognises that people of equal sincerity hold strong views on either side of the proposal, and calls the people of New Zealand to give close and conscientious consideration to the forthcoming referendum.”
