Lambert, who attended a conference of ex-prisoners of war in Wellington, returned to Whangarei this week with good news of prospects for a national organisation care for ex-prisoners, whose problems are usually different from those of the average returned serviceman. Delegates from Northland, Southland and places between gathered in Wellington to discuss the forming of a national executive which would be responsible for presenting the case for a compensation payment for hardships endured in Stalags.
