Parliament Bill Again
The Parliament Bill to reduce from two years to one year the period in which the House of Lords may hold up the passage of any bill, other than a money bill, was presented to the House of Commons today for the third time. By halving the veto period the steel bill could automatically go on the Statute Book early in 1950.
