New Zealand am? South African Rugby trams first clashed in 1919, when <hc New Zealand Army team on its way home from the war olayed 15 matches won 11. drew one and lost three. Three tests were played in New Zealand by the 1921 Springboks The All Blacks won the first. 13—5, lost the second. 5—9. and' he third game resulted in a scoreless draw. When the 1228 All Blacks visited South Africa each side won two tests. New Zealand wen down in the first game. o—l 7, won the next, 7—6, lost the third. 11—G, and kept all-square with a 13—5 win in the- last. In 1937, when the Springboks again came to New Zealand, they won two of the three tests played. The All Blades won the first game, 13—7, but went down 13—fi and 17—6 in the the* two.
