Non-Catholic Churches Agreed On Communists
LONDON, Fri. (10 a.m.) —Prominent leaders of non-Roman Catholic churches today at the conclusion of the six-day Chichester conference agreed that it was impossible to be a Communist and a member of a Christian church. These churchmen represerilecl 150 church groups in 44 nations. The Bishop of Chichester (Dr Bell) said: “Whatever Communism may have been in the 19th century, it became an atheistic party in 1017.”
