Land Board H.Q. For Whangarei?
WELLINGTON, Sat. (Spy.—Although the Northern Maori member (Mr .1. P. PaLkea), in his Addresa-in-Reply speech in the House yesterday afternoon, was complimentary to the Government, he criticised the location of both the Tokerau anc Waikato Maori Land Boards in Auckland. This, as he knew from personal experience, caused much congestion and the remedy was to transfer the headquarters of the Tokerau Land Board to Whangarei, which was more convenient for the people of the Far North.
