In Committee Before Meeting Started
At last night’s meeting ol the Wfaangar'ei; District Progressive Society a •report on the Talent Quest was given by Mr F. W.: Maddermott. He had jjust begun his report when the president (Mr J. F.. Johnson) declared that the report was “in committee” Later Mr Johnson told late-coming members that the meeting had not started. , At the conclusion, of the report he laid the reporter that he could .“make i What he liked of it.” When the reporter said he had taken no notes or notice of the report, ; it being presented to a meeting wfiich- had not started, the president replied: “Oh, you’ve got a good memory.”
