Wages On Dairy Farms increased

WELLINGTON, Tue. (P.A.).—lncreases in rqtes of wages payable to agricultural workers employed by dairy farmers were announced today by the Minister of Labour (Mr McLagan). 1 The new rates, which operate from June 1, range from £2/16/3 a week for workers under 17 to £6/6/6 to workers of 21 and over. Where board andr lodging are not provided, all rates will be increased by 25/- a week. The new minimum hourly rate for casual harvesters is 3/5, with rations, for other workers (found) 2/11, and for other workers (not found) 3/5;-
