New Record At Beaulieu
A record price for Northland Jersey sales this year was reacnect this morn ing at the special heifer and bull sal of Dr G. Walker’s Beaulieu stud at Maunu, The rising two-year-old heifer Beaulieu Zoe was sold for 190gn., the purchasers being the New Zealand Loan! and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., of Melbourne, as agents. Bidding for this outstanding heifer was animated. : She was first-prize senior yearling at the Whangarei show last March. Her sire was Beaulieu Lynn’s Desire, and her dam Beaulieu Angela, H.C., C.0.R., 527.951 b fat at four years. She was in -alf to the recentlyimported Jester of Highfield. The first lot on the catalgoue, the four-year-old Beaulieu Gracious, was purchased by -Mr Gibson Smith, -ofKaitai?; for 80gn. ' - • A bench of about 150 buyers attended the sale, which was held under canvas and conducted by Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd.
