30 P.C. Power Cuts In NSW
SYDNEY, Tue. (1 p.m.)—Users of industrial power in New South Wales are given 14 days to notify the electricity supply authorities of a method by which they propose to apply the 30 per cent cut in power, ordered by the Emergency Electricity Commissioner (Mr H. G. Conde) and approved by the State Cabinet.
Employers say that they have the following alternatives: (1) To work at night during offpeak hours, between 7.30 p.m .and 7.0 a.m.
(2) To work on Saturdays and Sundays.
(3) To stagger heavy plant operationg during peak periods. (4) To dispense with power one day in four.
