All Except- Soviet Commend N.Z.
WELLINGTON, Mon. (P.A.)— Messages received the Prime Minister’s Department state that the Trusteeship Council discussion on Western Samoa has been completed and that all the council members except the Soviet Union commended the administering authority. Sir Carl Berendsen, New Zealand delegate, described the Soviet representatives’ criticism as “in the large part nonsense and unworthy of a serious or detailed reply.”
