Conference On North Waste Land
KAITAIA, Fri. (Sp.)—The Mangonui County Council decided at its February meeting yesterday to attend the conference called by the Whangarei County Council to facilitate the utilisation of waste and idle land in Northland. “This is something we should be associated with," said the chairman (Mr W. J. Steed). “I have much pleasure in seconding the motion." said Mr W. J. Dawson. "The whole district will benefit from increased production, general income and rates," said Mr Dawson. It was decided to suggest that Kaikohe would suit most delegates as the centre for the meeting.
