Gow Berghan
The marriage of Archie, son of Mrs Gow, of Totara North, and Nalda. eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. J. Borghan, of Mangonui, was celebrated on November 11 at the Anglican Church, Mangonui. The officiating minister was the Rev. D. H. A. Niblock, of Kailaia. Miss M. Blythe presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a saxe blue suit, with whitb accessories, and carried a bouquet of red roses, blue larkspurs and carnations. The bridesmaid. Miss Ngaire Berghan. sister of the bride, wore a pale blue suit, with white accessories, and carried a bouquet of pink ancl orange gladioli. Mr Maurice Foster, of Oruaiti. was best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Judith Steed, niece of the bride. A reception was held in Ironsides Hall. Mesdames Berghan and Gow receiving some 200 guests. Mrs Berghan wore a navy blue suit, with n red shoulder spray of gladioli, while Mrs Gow wore a navy frock, with a shoulder spray of dark and light blue larkspur. Tire hall was beautifully decorated by Mr J. Wrathall and friends of the couple. After the reception the bridal couple left for the south by car. the bride wearing a travelling dress of dark blue and a grey coat, with matching accessories.
