' Appreciation of the manner in which the Whangarei Rotary Club has assisted in the donations of recreational facilities for the camp was expressed at a meeting of the King George ~V children's health camp at Maunu on Thursday night. The club had built a concrete sand pit, besides providing swings and other facilities. A Christmas party was provided by the club, each year, and will again take place this month. Consideration is also being given to the question of assisting in the provision of a swimming bath. TREATING POLIO CASES The matron (Miss E. Campbell) reported that during the past week three children still needing treatment for poliomyelitis had been admitted to the camp. As it was not possible for these children to receive treatment in their own districts they had been admitted to the camp, as a result, of cooperation with the hospital boards and the Health Department. The physiotherapist at the Whangarei Hospital visits the camp daily to treat the children.
