After over 40 years in the Public Service, Mr F. H. Waters is retiring today from the position of ValuerGeneral. Tributes to his services were paid by members of his staff and the heads of other Government departments at a farewell gathering in Wellington. Mr Waters joined the Public Service as a cadet in 1906. He was appointed deputy Valuer-General in 1939, and Valuer-General in 1943.
