Athletes At Hikurangi

Visiting athletes, including 54 Auckylanders and some from Dargaville and Kamo, made up a large part of the nominations for the Whangarei Amateur Athletic Club’s meeting at Hikurangi today. The weather could not have been better.

All receipts from the meeting will go to the Hikurangi War Memorial Committee, which obtained the trophies and ran the sideshows.

Another purpose of the meeting is to promote interest in the formation of an athletic club at Hikurangi.
