WELLINGTON. A recommendation that fencing and weightlifting should be the two extra sports to be staged in the 1950 Empire Games has been forwarded to the British Empire Games Federation in London, said the president of thd New Zealand Olympic and British Empire Games Association (Mr A. D. Bayfield) yesterday. The other sports are athletics, . swimming, bowling, rowing, boxing, cycling and wrestling.
