Eire Takes Last Step From Commonwealth
LONDON, Mon.—What is described as the final severance of Eire from the British Empire is provided for in a 50-word bill to come before the Dail, which is the shortest of its kind on record, says the Daily Telegraph. All parties in the Dail are agreed upon the bill, which will be disposed of within a few days after its introduction in November.
The bill will make de jure the Republic which has been de facto since 1933.
