ASS Black Trial
NEW PLYMOUTH, Mon. (Sp.)—Few players impressed as approaching All Black standard in the trial match between Wanganui-Taranaki and Manawatu-Horowhenua at Wanganui on Saturday. There were a number, however, who should go further in the trials and may be seen to much better advantage. The likeliest player to be a strong contender for the New Zealand side was the fast Wanganui wing-three-quarter, Henderson, who scored three tries.
