WELLINGTON. A minor earthquake, was felt in Wellington at 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon. There have been no reports that it was felt elsewhere. The acting Government seismologist (Mr R. C. Hayes) estimated the force as 2on the Mercalli scale. Electric fittings were barely set swinging. * * *
COURSE* Tl^^^pS.—While rea special bus bringing Thames Rugby supporters back from Waihi on Saturday afternoon, Mr Stanley Fletcher Tyerman, retired farmer, aged 63, collapsed and died. Mr Tyerman, who was a widower, was living with his daughter at Matoki.
