LAMBS
Six lambs were born recently to one ewe on the Marathon Station, Seddon, owned by Mr A. Gunn. Two of the lambs were found dead owing to the cold, but Mr Gunn was able to save the remaining four. This equals the re-
cord of a Shropshire stud ewe owned by MiMartin Macale, Methven, in 1931. In this case, however, five of the lambs perished owing to the cold weather prevailing at the time.
