Stonex Second In World Champ. Heat
AMSTERDAM, Fri. (10 a.m.).—New Zealand’s A. W. Stonex was second to Ai-gentina’s Cortoni in a heat of the world amateur spring cycling championship.
The Prime Minister (Mr Attlee) was stated to be much improved. An acute phase of eczema has now subsided and he is making satisfactory progress, states a London cable.
