Seven Points Of World Charter On Women s Rights
GENEVA, Mon. (10 a.m.). —The United Nations Economic and. Social Council has laid the foundations for its charter on women’s rights.
! The charter provides: (1) All United Nations members should give women the same political rights as men. (2) Women should have equal access with men to public office. (3) No discrimination against women resulting from conflicts in national laws on nationality, domicile, marriage or divorce.
(4) Women should be free to marry whom they please ana leave the countries of their origin to be with their husbands. (5) Women should receive equal pay with men for equal work.
(6) Women should have equal educational rights with men. (7) Each country should adopt legal safeguards for the rights of mothers and children.
