P.& T. Appointment's

WELLINGTON, Tue. (P.A.).—The appointments of Mr W. D. P. Norris as. divisional director, GPO, and Mr W. G. Morgan, at present deputy-chief postmaster at Auckland, as chief inspector. GPO. were announced by the Postmaster-General (Mr Hackett) today.

Mr Norris joined the post office service at Whakatane in 1909 and has held appointments in various centres in the North Island, particularly in the Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu districts. He was chief postmaster at Wellington from 1944 to 1946. when he was appointed chief inspector. Mr Morgan joined the post office at Karangahake in 1911. He seryed in the chief engineer’s office and in the director-general’s office.

He was appointed deputy-chief postmaster at Auckland in 1946.
