Pay Penalty Of Leaving Cars Unlocked
Two Whangarei motorists last night paid the penalty of leaving their motor cars unlocked and the ignition keys in the vehicles. One car is still missing, but 'he other motorist was lucky. He found his missing car a short distance away while he was en route to report his loss to the police.
The car recovered was left by Mr R. W. Murray in Vine Street and it was found by him moved but undamaged near Walton Street. Mr W. P. Wallace, of Manga'pai, left his car in Walton Street at 7.45 p.m. and it was missing at 10.30 p.m. It has not yet been recovered. The car is a 1935 Hillman Minx, four-door sedan painted black and bears the licence plate number 3743.
