MIRAGE
AUCKiPIND. On Tuesday Jcening Great Barrier residents saw from Kaitjfki Beach the mirage of a steamer, high in a clear sky. j Mr C. Curtis states that the steamer appeared to be steaming north and heading outside the Hen and Chickens Group. The mirage disappeared,behind Mt Hobson. on the island, leaving behind a trail of smoke.
