CHRISTCHURCH, Fri. (P.A.)-Laurie Petersen (Queensland) and Clarrie Gordon (Auckland) provided one of the best professional boxing contests seen in Christchurch for many years.
The referee declared the bout a draw after the judges had disagreed. Gordon continually carried the fight to his opponent, and although showing signs of distress in the 10th and 11th rounds, came back with a well-sustain-ed attack in the final round.
