Medical Inspection Of North Children
WELLINGTON, Thu. (Sp.) The Minister of Health (Miss Howard) has promised Mr S. W. Smith (O — Hobson) to investigate what arrangements can be made for the routine medical inspection of school children in Northland who have not received attention for some years, owing to lack of departmental staff.
WHANGAJtEI MILK SALES Total sales of milk made by the Whanga-rei Municipal Milk Depot amounted to 43,443 gallons during July. In addition to this, cream equivalent to another 1293 gallons was sold, making a total of 44.730 gallons. The greater portion of this was supplied by the shareholder suppliers, accommodation suppliers being called up for 245 gallons on peakdays when the demand exceeded 150 C gallons. In the same period last year 40,435 gallons were sold, and 225 gallons were supplied by accommodation suppliers.
