Length 76 feet, Beam 19 feet, Draught 3 feet. The hull is of 3in. Heart Kauri galvanised fastened and sheathed with Jin. Totara. The decking is of 2Jin. Heart Kauri, while the Bulwarks 2 feet high are of Sin. Heart Kauri and stiffened with forged steel knees. A dqckhouse is in position aft while an anchor windlass is fitted forward. Anchor cable consisting of 35 fathoms {jin. chain and 39 fathoms 11/16in. chain both new galvanised can be supplied and offers should indicate whether or not they include chain. The “Katie S” is at present moored in Auckland and inspection of vessel can be arranged by appointment with The Manager, Associated Motorists’ Petrol Co., Ltd., Western Reclamation, Auckland. Draught 4 feet 6 inches. The hull is of Heart Kauri single skin planking U inches thick, and was built in 1934. The vessel has been used for Towing work and accommodation is provided for a crew of two. Tile launch is powered with a 1946 model M-7 Chrysler Crown Marine Petrol Engine with 3.48 to 1 reduction gear. Engine cooling is by fresh water as an Allerley heat exchanger and Stewart & Floyd Intercooler arc fitted. The engineroom is metal lined throughout. and vessel is in first-class condition. having just been repainted. Marine Department Annual Survey was carried out in April of this year and current certificate is held.
