Ruatangata—Mata ray Library

The Ruatangata-Matarau library fund benefited by £ll/13/-, taken at a bring and buy held in the hall. Stalls were kept by Mesdames Grantham and Johnstone (vegetables), and Wachsmuth and Airey (miscellaneous). Mesdames Cossill and Attwood served the afternoon tea, and competitions were run by Mr Grantham (adults), Mrs Dinsdale and the Misses Grantham (children). Mrs Cossill won the ladies' naildriving competition. and Messrs Grantham and Wachsmuth tied for the meq. The weight guessing was won by Mrs Flyger.
