Two Men Suffer Cuts To Fingers

While cutting firewood, Ervine Wright, 24, farm labourer, of Mata, severely mutilated the index finger of his right hand on a circular saw. Amputation of the first two joints was necessary in the Whangarei Hospital, to which he was admitted. While sharpening a knife on an emery stone, Lewis Martin, 34, butcher of Hikurangi, slashed the first three fingers of his right hand, tiie index finger being severely cut.
