Two Men Suffer Cuts To Fingers
While cutting firewood, Ervine Wright, 24, farm labourer, of Mata, severely mutilated the index finger of his right hand on a circular saw. Amputation of the first two joints was necessary in the Whangarei Hospital, to which he was admitted. While sharpening a knife on an emery stone, Lewis Martin, 34, butcher of Hikurangi, slashed the first three fingers of his right hand, tiie index finger being severely cut. He was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital.
