NO CHARITY
LONDON.—The British Government had no apology to make either to tjie or the worJd, said the (Foreign Secretary (Mr' Bevin), in a speech in London. He rebuked Mr Churchill for saying that Britain was living on American ; charity, and added: “I am sorry he said that, because he ought to know better. We are not living on charity at all.” Mr Bevin added that if the war Allies had pooled all their assets and liabilities the present situation of loans would riot have arisen.
