Overcome Flying Boot Engine Defect

AUCKLAND, Thu. (Sp.)— Overheating of the engines of the Tasmanclass flyingbeats of Tasman Empire Airways, Ltd., is expected to be overcome by modifications designed after three weeks’ intensive research and experiment. This was announced yesterday by the general manager of the company (Mr G. N. Roberts), who said it was hoped the aircraft would resume operations in April, one at a time at fortnightly intervals. “Modifications to the engines have taken much longer than was expected, but the company will sacrifice anything in the interests of technical perfection," Mr Roberts said. “We feel now that the trouble has been overcome, and re-assembly of engines has begun.”
