Three Developments In Queensland Strike

BRISBANE, Wed. (11.30 a.m.). —Three important developments in the Queensland railway strike have affected the general outlook overnight;

(1) The interstate executive of the Australasian Council of Trade Unions declared in support of the strikers and demanded the granting of their claims forthwith. (2) Executive officers of the New South Wales Trades and Labour Council lifted the ban on the carriage of goods by rail from Brisbane to Sydney. (8) The Queensland Railways Commissioner announced that enough trains would run in Brisbane today to carry all people to and from work.

The executive of the Australasian Council of Trade Unions discussed the strike for five nours in Melbourne after hearing reports from the president of the Queensland Trades and Labour Council (Mr H.
