Mangakahia Sheep Dog Gob Meeting
A spreading of the total prize money over a greater range of events in an endeavour to make the huntaway event more attractive with more and larger prizes was decided on at the annual meeting of the Mangakahia Sheep Dog Trial Club. The special eight-dog event, which has proved so popular, is being retained.
The balance sheet disclosed a very active and successful year, the club being in a sound position. Officers elected wereV-President, Mr C. H. Pepperell; vice-president, Mr N. A. Wilson; hon. secretary, Mr K. C. Pepperell (all re-elected); 'general committee, Messrs E. M. Hill, P. Going, T. Ryan, I. Fraser, D. Fraser, S. Ransom, E. Hunter, H. Hunter, J. Martin, W. Wilson, S. Alison, W, A. McDonald, D. Clarke. Mr G. F. Brake was re-elected auditor.
